Disable TouchPad
I have an Inspiron 1100, and I want to disable my TouchPad. I had it turned off, but my little brother somehow accidently turned it back on. He doesn't remember how he did it, and I don't know how my friend turned it off to start with. I've tried EVERYTHING and I can't seem to get it to disable. It's really driving me nuts. If anyone can help me, I'd love you forever. (I currently have an index card taped over it because I keep hitting it while I'm typing and screwing up my typing.)
Thanks,
Meggie

If you still have the Synaptics Icon (sloppy red circle) at the bottom of your screen, double click it, this will bring up the mouse properties screen. CLick the device settings tab and highlight the entry for the Synaptics Touchpad and hit the disable button below it. If you no longer have the Synaptics Icon, Open the Control Panel->printers and other hardware->mouse.
