Do I have to keep Synaptics Pointing Device

Hi there,

This is my first laptop, and with all my desktop systems I always remove the "unecessary extras" you're always provided with....AOL, Earthlink, that kind of thing.

Anyhow, I was wondering, do I need to keep the synaptics pointing device program installed, or will my touchpad work without it ??

the Synaptics touchpad program adds additional functions to the touchpad like the 'tap click', 'tap and drag', etc. Removing this will remove this functions and will make your touchpad function like a regular mouse. It's in your own disgretion but it wouldn't be much of a problem.
