Does something like this exist? (Mouse related)
You know how there are wireless mice available from Kensington and other manufacturers? You basically plug a receiver into your computer and then use the mouse along with that.
Well does anyone (including Dell) make a receiver built into the laptop so all you need to carry around with you is the wireless mouse itself and not have extra hardware hanging out of the back of the laptop?
I think that would be awesome to build into a laptop. Don't they have infra-red built into them anyway? Can that be used somehow?

I'm not a 100% certain but isn't that what the Bluetooth card would enable one to do; however, you need to order the card with the system (I think).
Cheers!

If you get a bluetooth enabled notebook you can use the Microsoft Bluetooh mouse. No other manufacturers have a bluetooth mouse at the time of this post, and I don't know of any in the works. Anyone else know? I want to do this as well, but before I do, I would like at least a selection of 3 devices. Is Logitech making one? It would be nice too if someone make a kewl bluetooth game controller...

you do not need to order the bluetooth with the system. it can be ordered later, and user added.
Someone has the part number for it in their signature. i forget who though.
I posted a related qestion about adding bluetooth after purchase.
If you search my posts you'll find it, and the answer. Did this yesterday

I ordered my bluetooth card (and wore) seperately, but it was a pain in the you-know-what (darn speech editor). My 600m shipped last night, so I am returning my 8500 in a few days. After digging for about 20 minutes, I still can't find the receipt, so I'm not sure of the part numbers. But as mentioned above, they are on somebody's signature.... I think it was BayWolf.
I'll remove the card and wire before my return. If anyone is interested in it (and/or a graphite swirl lid cover) for their 8500, please PM me with an offer.

Thanks, I already know that, even read some article on how it actually work.
BTW successfully using Logitech Cordless Desktop MX for Bluetooth with internal bluetooth module and WiFi simultaneously.
Highy recommend. MX 900 mouse is sooooo great, and I'm very picky to my mouse (UT2003 fan)
Just don't install Logitech drivers and you'll be just fine.

When I bought it it was around $300, seems like things getting cheaper.
