You dont have to live with fuzzy icons! I had the same problem, icons on taskbar and on submenus (start->all programs) were fuzzy when swithging to 120 dpi. The solution took me a lot of trial and error, here it goes:
Go to Display Properties, Appearance, Advanced, Select the "Caption Buttons" Item from the drop down, and reduce the size until you get a crisp/sharp icon. Size 24 worked for me. Icons get smaller but they are still very viewable and not fuzzy!
