DVD Driver problem

Hey there community I reeally need some help my DVD/CD Driver is not reading any of my discs there are some itll read on a good day but then if i want to attempt at getting my discs read i have to go into my computer and click on the driver and manually get it to run but that doesnt even work all the time if any one could please give me a fix plz help or link a solution thanks a bunch oh I also have an Inspiron 1545
