E1705 DuoCore Defect?
Received my E1705, charged it overnight, sat down all excited about my new 1.6 Duo with 17" TrueLife, turned it on and it crashed and rebooted. It then proceeded to continuously reboot until I shut it off.
Call Dell Tech 3/25.....6 1/2 hours later determined it was either the system board or DuoCore processor. New system on its way, should be here tommorow 5/1.
Searched the internet and found a few people here and on other boards that have had the same problem. System runs flawlessly if you disable DuoCore in the Bios.
I'm a little worried that the new system will end up having the same problem when it arrives. Any advice?

As far as I know, I am the only person who has had a machine that was unreliable until dual core support was disabled in BIOS.
FYI, it's "dual core" when referring to a dual core processor, and "Core Duo" when you're referring to the specific Intel product with its horribly unoriginal (and to some degree confusing, as it's not the only multicore processor on the market) name.
I finally received my replacement (took forever due to the GeForce 7800 shortage) and it runs flawlessly.
