E1705 - Win 7: Missing Drivers for 2 Base System Devices

Hello,

This may be related to this post: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/t/19361816.aspx

I have an Inspiron E1705 that I upgraded from Vista Premium to Win 7 Professional (32-bit).  I am missing drivers for two Base System Devices.  These devices are part of the "Intel 82801 PCI Bridge - 2448" connection.

Other devices under this connection that are functioning correctly are the following:

1) Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller

2) Ricoh 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller

3) Ricoh xD-Picture Card Controller

4) SDA Standard Compliant SD Host Controller

Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Install the Intel chipset driver (you'll need to get it from Intel).

The system uses a 945PM/GM chipset.

Ican tell you that the broadcom driver is NOT compatible with windows 7,i ran the windows upgrade advisor tool on my E1705 with vista thinking i might at some point, want to go with it.Anyway, the broadcom and 5 other devices came back as not compatible with windows 7 and the broadcom is one of them.
