E6230 touchpad does not function

I just purchased a Latitude E6230 and the touchpad does not function.   Made sure to install the correct driver and checked that the "Dell Touchpad" setting to "ON" in the picture below.  Also ran the ePSA test and the touchpad does not function in ePSA.  Only able to use the system with external USB mouse at this time.  How can I get resolution?

Thank you, Eric

Hi Eric,

Try this step - download the new touchpad driver from the below link - uninstall the existing driver from control panel -> programs and features - update the BIOS

Update the BIOS from support.dell.com - http://dell.to/1Pwntme - enter the service tag and select drivers and downloads and run the BIOS update.

Then try reinstalling the input driver.

If the issue still persists - Could you send us a screenshot of the device manager with pointing devices expanded? And if the system is under warranty, then please send me the service tag of the system and your contact details through a private conversation. Or you could contact us viaTwitter - @dellcarespro - for faster communication.

Keep us updated.
