Welcome to the forums :emotion-21:

NEED... MORE... INFO!!

What system do you have?  What OS are you using? What are you doing when you get the error message?

You've said you couldn't find any info on the error code?

I don't know how/where you tried finding it, but I just did a quick Google - using your thread title as the search criteria no less, and the very first hit was/is to this page on the Dell website :emotion-55:

As you'll see, Step 2 lists error codes and what causes them, and the error code you're seeing is among them - namely "Memory integrity test failed", so it would appear there's a problem with your RAM?

Does your system include Dell Diagnostics (F12 during the boot process/when the Dell logo appears)?

If it does... try running it, to see if you can get confirmation of the problem?

Hello can anyone help me, this is my first attempt at joining DELL Community or any Forum so I hope I am doing it correctly!

I am running Windows XP Professional SP3 on a Dell Latitude X300 that failed to boot normally this morning.  It would not allow me to select SAFE MODE or any of the other options presented.  It appeared to be looping on "Start Normally".  I then went to F12 during boot and I had Memory Integrity Test Failed Error Code 1000-0123.  The rest of the tests ran OK.

I then ran Winternals Emergency Rescue Disk 2005 which reported "Registry hive (file): C\Windows\system32\config\system was corrupted and it has been recovered. Some data may have been lost."  The laptop booted normally and again after I had closed down and removed the rescue disk.  I then rebooted and ran F12 and received the same Error Code 1000-0123.  My question is in two parts: (1) what can I do to isolate the faulty portion of memory which I understand is RAM, to prevent future use and (2) should the laptop run OK without me taking any further action?

Many thanks Stephen
