Error Code - 2000-0142
Hi,
Laptop (Dell Inspiron N5110,Windows 8.1 Pro).
The disk is keep on going to 100% even though no programs are running. It happens even though windows 8.1 is completely reinstalled.
When I did Preboot system Assessment, everything went fine except hard drive.
Hard drive : Error code: 2000-0142, Self test Unsuccessful, Status = 7.
What should I do?
Thanks in advance

You'll need a new, 2.5" 9.5 or 7 mm SATA notebook drive.

It's a standard hard drive. You can find them just about anywhere.
On this model, replacing a hard drive is far from a trivial exercise though.
