Error Code Msg. 2000-0142
Dell Inspiron N5030, BIOS Version A01, Servis Tag <ADMIN NOTE:Service tag removed per privacy policy>, new brand purchesed 2011 in Macedonia under warranty.
Strange that Dell tech support doesn't give any possibility to contact them directly for other then US customers, like Dell sales product only to US costumers or US travelers. So I'll try to find solution by this Forum.
After reinstalling fresh copy of Win 7, on last reboot to load OS, appear prompt in left upper corner on black screen (no want to boot). On self diagnostic test show up a famous Error like in Subject. (0142) indicating on HDD error. Trying to find out more on net I find this: From Dell site according to Error code suggest replacement of HDD; Many Forums suggest procedures with boot recovery option, if doesn't help replacement of HDD. I try all possible combination of boot recovery, doesn't help. So I made a rigorous surface test, using external tools from boot DVD, and not find any bad sector on HDD. Also HDD is visible using Avast BART boot DVD, and can Read/Write. System tests doesn't indicate to any error, but using HDD testing tools (like WD Live Guard, Maxtor and Toshiba) indicate error, also can't read Firmware, Model and S/N (all is Unknown). Some one from Tech Forum suggest to check SATA and Power Cables. The question is: how come if HDD is broken-down, I can install OS with out any problem, and I do it a gain, and I do it third time without any problem during installation, but don't want to boot final time to load the OS? I will be a grateful if somebody have any availabil idea, before I replace it.

2000-0142 means the drive is failing its own self-test routine. It's more likely an electronic than a mechanical failure.
As for the rest, Maxtor never shipped 2.5" drives in any volume, and hasn't existed as an independent in years. WD and Toshiba both do make 2.5" drives - but so too do Seagate and Samsung. Chances are you've a Seagate or a Samsung drive.
Bottom line: you need to replace the drive.
