a factory restore shouldn't require an install of the wireless driver

normally you would be right but i had to use the restore disc and i was told to download the updated drivers. all installed correctly but the wireless driver. the above error was the result. i couldnt use the restore to factory because i think this system was restored once already( trying to fix this computer for someone else) and as i found out that if you use the disc once the option for factory reset on the system menu is removed. the person i am fixing this for does not have the restore discs so i requested the disc from the dell web page and was sent the discs and an email giving me a list of drivers to download and install after i installed the operating system. the wireless driver was one of them.

You may have used the restore disc, but Dell describes what you did as a manual re-installation of Windows.
What Dell calls restore is using the Recovery Partition.
Anyhow, read http://support.dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/kcs/document?c=us&l=en&s=gen&docid=DSN_1A0C0937D62A8739E0401E0A55174744&isLegacy=true
