I would say you need a new video card - the RAM on that one is faulty.

I have run the test also and had teh same results. All the video memory tests failed. How did you see the screen to run the test. I have an 8500 and I had to connect an external monitor to view the test screens. when did your video fail? mine failed i think on Wednesday the 16th of august

I forgot to mention that I have the 64MB Nvidia GeForce 4200 Go running on my Inspiron 8500. I bought the computer in may of 2003. The Video Card lasted 3 years and 5 months.

i see coloured pixel around the screen. i try also to run test on another screen, but there were the same coloured pixel. I think we need a new video card... :(

I met the same problem, does it mean Video memory failure , VGA Chip failure or someting what?
