Exchanging Question!
I emailed Dell about my defected Radeon Mobility 9000 obtained from Dell Spare Parts and this is what they said, taken from parts of the response email:
*******************************************************************************
Thank you for choosing Dell Online Customer Care.
I apologize for the inconvenience that you have had with this Radeon
Mobility 9000.
In order to resolve your issue, we will set up an exchange for you.
What
this means is that Dell will be sending you a new Radeon Mobility 9000.
You must then send the defective product back with all associated items
(such as cables, disks, etc.) that came with it to Dell within 5
business days of invoice of the replacement part.
A pre-paid Airborne return airbill and easy-to-follow return
instructions will be provided in a separate shipment to you within 3-5
business-days.
Follow the return instructions exactly and only use Airborne Express as
your return carrier. The Airborne Express number for package pickup is
1-866-247-7783.
Keep a copy of the return airbill signed by the driver for your
records.
Should any part of the order be lost in transit, the airbill copy is
the
only means of tracing your return.
Please allow 3 to 5 business days for exchange to be processed and once
the order number is generated, it will be shipped to you by the Next
Day
Air.
Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration this
matter
may have caused. We value you as our customer and your satisfaction is
very important to us.
*******************************************************************************
Does this mean that they will be sending me the new Radeon Mobility 9000 right away and another package with the return instructions at the same time?
Or does it mean they are sending me the return instructions package, then I must do it, then afterwards send me the new M9?
Hope it's the former because I can't wait much longer!

Just take out your old card, replace it with the new one, put your dead card in the box, slap the return label on, tape it shut and call airborne for a pickup.
