Failing RTC accuracy test
Hello everyone,
I have a problem with a 2 week old XPS 17 L702x laptop. The computer clock is erratic, loses time, and is always wrong, so I keep having to update it by synchronising with internet time. When I run the DELL PC Checkup motherboard tests, the RTC rollover test passes but the RTC accuracy test fails (I presume "RTC" means "Real Time Clock"). I get an error code of "WSB01-H80". Anyone have any ideas before I phone Dell? Could it be the coin battery?
Thanks in anticipation of your help,
LesterL

No, it's not the battery -- call; they will have to replace the system board under warranty.

I have already replaced the motherboard and my warranty has expired... what can I do to fix this problem, is there any software i can instal to fix it. My computer takes a long time to start up and it shuts completely down even when i put it to sleep.

Hi vmme2020,
Are you getting an error "Failing RTC accuracy test"? If yes, may I know when do you get this error message?
Please share the system model and Operating system.
To check the system hardware functionality, you can run a hardware diagnostic test by following the steps below:
Note: If you wait too long and the Microsoft Windows appears, then continue to wait until you see the Windows desktop. Now shutdown your computer and try again.
Please reply with information.
