FN KEYS

HELP ME!! Dell Support was NOT helpful at all... hopefully someone reading this may have a better idea. My FN key only works with the combonation of Fn & Esc. Fn & F7, Fn & F8, & Scroll Lock... I want to know if it is possible to get them all working correctly. I know all the keys work, so that is not the issue. Please help me...

what functions are you trying to access? some of the Fn keys will not work in Windows XP due to a change in power management schemes between Win98, Win 2000, and WinXP. A bit more info on what you're trying to do would be helpful in answering the question.

If this is any help my up and down arrows work the brightness control, f5 &f6 work the volume and I think the E is an eject key. I just figured this out for myself because I cant find an instruction manual for my L400 Hope you have the same luck !!!
