Function key reversed

Question

my Function key is stuck in reverse. it should work with the blue keys when held down. now i have to hold it down every time i want to use the letters on the keyboard instead of the numbers. the key itself is fine it just started to work in reverse today. is there a command i can use to disingague it or reverse it back?

This usually means that you have enabled the Num-Lock on your system.  What happens if you hit the 'NumLk' key?
