GeForce4 4200 Go & 3dMark2001 SE

How many of you tested above mentioned card on 3dMark2001 SE 330 and what's your score?

Guys from CNet were able to squeeze 9376 http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/0-1027-405-20893611-3.html?tag=rating

The best I could do was 9214, this is on default settings no overclocking or anything, just little OS optimization tweaks from tweaktown.com and 44.04 Detonator driver from http://www.geocities.com/madtoast/. I understand that my 60GB drive is a little slower than tested 40GB, but should it really affect the test results?

3Dmark2003 yield 1130, kind of low but considering that my card does not support DX9 on hardware level I can live with it.

Sorry it's 44.03 driver,

It's I8500 P4 2.5GHz WUXGA, 768 MB Ram, GeForce4 4200 Go 64MB, 60Gb HD, Windows XP Pro SP1, DX9.0a

See my signature for more details. I run 230/525 all day long. Totally stable and 10,300 3D marks on 2001 build 330.

Can get 10,400 at 240/525 but it is the law of diminishing returns with incresing heat and I am happy enough with 10,300 anyway

Haven't bothered to try a higher core setting. Memory is maxed.

Shouldn't memory be maxed at 500MHz?

Maybe I should overclock to around 240/240(480 real)

Best tool to measure safe overclocking imo is UT2003. The game is very picky and extremely sensitive to it.

Invasion on Antalus is playable without lockups at 230/485, anything higher and I have occasional lockups

Good lord, what drivers net a 9000 3dmark01 score? The current 44.xx series i'm using gives me around 8100. Are you running with it on performance and other little tweaks like that?

I used 44.03, now I'm using 55.03.

45.xx and higher drivers lowered 3dmark score but favoured games I play (higher fps and image quality)

You can always grab latest drivers from http://www.geocities.com/madtoast/ get either Terapy's or Pieter's infs. I recommend using NVidia official WHQL drivers only and skip all those multiple leaked betas.

3dmark2001 not considered as a valid test anymore I recommend using Aquamark3 for measuring performance.

Here's results on default frequencey

And with little Ocing, can go higher but that one I used (230/485) does not yield lockups in UT2003.

Make sure that you turn AA and AF off, set driver Image Quality and MipMap lelev to High Performance before performing tests. PowerMizer on Max Performance and Power schema in Control Panel to Always On.
