Did you ever figure out how to add a grafics card usccessfully? If so, could you post back and help me out? I'm trying to install a Jaton nVidia 5700LE into the dock, and it worked one time out of 50, and haven't gotten it to work since. Any help is appreciated.

I went down to Fry's Electronics and bought a 128mb Radeon 9200 graphics card and it's working fine. Also, here is some instructions that Dell Support sent to me that helped me and might help you as well.

Configure the primary video settings in the CMOS.
In order to configure the system Primary Video setting properly, follow these steps:

    1. Enter System Setup by pressing the key roughly once per second immediately after powering on the system.

    2. Stop pressing upon seeing the Entering Setup message on the top right-hand corner of the LCD.

    3. Press +

keys in order to change pages of the BIOS and find the appropriate page with the Primary Video setting.

    4. This setting is usually on page 3 or 4 depending on BIOS revision.

    5. Using your key, navigate to the Primary Video field.

    6. Press the key once to change this value to Docked.

    7. Press the key to exit.

    8. When prompted, press to confirm any saved changes.

    9. Your machine should reboot automatically

Remove duplicate video adapters in the Device Manager from Safe Mode.
To remove duplicate video adapters in the Device Manager from Safe Mode, perform the following steps:

    1. Boot the computer to Safe Mode.

NOTE:   For more information, refer to Dell Knowledge Base Article: "How do I start my computer in Safe Mode?"
Click the
Start button, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.

NOTE:   If you are using Windows? XP, you will not have the option to point to Settings. Instead, click the Start button and then click Control Panel.
Double-click the System icon.
The System Properties window appears.
Click the Device Manager tab.

NOTE:   If you are using Windows 2000 or Windows XP, click the Hardware tab and then click the Device Manager button.
Click the plus (+) sign next to Display Adapters.
Click to highlight the first entry and then click the Remove button.
If you are prompted to confirm device removal, click Yes.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all devices have been removed.
Click OK or Close to close all open windows.
Restart the computer.

Hi psp1965,
I have also a 128MB Radeon 9250 and I´m trying to make work in my C/Dock II with my
C610 laptop (without success)

I have seen your description and sound well, I will try it. But a have a question:

If I remove all the Display Adapter  (I only have the Mobility Radeon
that comes in the laptop by default from factory) as you say, will the laptop be able to
run when unDocked ?

Regards
