Help with splash screen?

Hello, I just bought a cheap d620 for my niece to do schoolwork and I noticed the kid I bought it from has his last name on the Dell Bios splash screen (screen that you hit f2 for bios or f12 for boot) . It's the regular Dell Logo screen but above that in white letters is his last name. Also in Bios he has his last name with something about blaze in I believe it was the ownership tag or asset tag? Not trying to change service tag or anything like that but how in the heck do I get these names off here?  I just updated to A10 btw hoping that would reset it but didn't work. Thanks

Hi FTDSN244,

There is an utility using which the BIOS splash screen can be changed. It is very risky to do so. Because, if done incorrectly will damage your computer. Still, it you want to change it, then you may try it at your own discretion. Please refer to this link for more information http://dell.to/18yo93a

Though, my recommendation would be leave it as it is.

Quick question. First Thanks for the reply but I do not understand that at all.

I am using the Dell CCTK and I see where I can change the ownership tag and asset tag names but I don't see how I am suppose to save this? Everytime I click exit or something it says if I continue the changes will be discarded, but I do not see where I can save the changes? All I see at the bottom is 3 options which are Export Config, Export Config .exe and Export report. Am I suppose to save these changes by exporting them or what? Just don't see the option of saving the new ownership tags?
