The funny thing is, I've been playing with mine since I'm not at 30 days. I like the unit and the 1600 res. It makes me darn angry that I have to return this thing. But not returning it says to Dell, it's okay to hose their customers. While I'm working I really don't notice the problem...I'm a 3D animator. But If I scroll or drag, it's there.. and my content windows do disappear. And when they don't, I wish they did. It's awful.
Dell is acting without honor. And it all bleeds down from the top.
Tell your friends, tell your family and tell everyone that might consider buying a Dell that this happened to you. Because, you may not have your laptop yet, but when you do, and if it's a Hitachi LCD...
Most likely, the sales lady lied to you. She has no control at what screen they put on your 8600. She just told you that to make you feel good and score a sell.

you guys in US are lucky, we have only 7days time to return the system in Europe

LOL I'm betting on an unfortunate typo...
Also interesting that a word such as that, which has no reason to be permitted to exist in such a forum, isn't caught by the board "cussing" filter...
But a word like s-u-c-k won't go through, even when talking about removing dust from a fan vent... sheesh.
