hibernate tab missing

I have a c840 w/ Win2k.  All the the latest critical updates, latest BIOS, chipset firmware.  I don't have the Hibernate tab in power options.

I have checked the BIOS and everything is setup properly.  I have the hiberfil.sys file on my system drive and is appropriate in size in accordance to my memory size.  I have no issues/problems in the device manager, all drivers seem to acceptable.

Please advise on this issue.  I really don't want to reinstall, or parallel install or clean install my OS as everything else is working fine.

Thanks

Just thought I would push this back up to the top in hopes that I would get a response.

Thanks

I had this same problem once. Did you install the Dell software that came with your laptop? If it is installed, try reinstalling it. That fixed the problem for me.
