all for the very low price of.......$5,865!!!
What a bragain!, but seriously, top of the line components in my opinion, some people opt for the new AMD 64 but seriously, i'm sticking with intel just bc i like the raw power that they have, espesially this new P4 Extreme Edition with the 800Mhz FSB hyperthreading AND Level 3 Cache...i can't wait until intel makes a 64 bit proc. hopefully we don't have to wait too long, once they start selling it i'm hoping the P4's go down in price and i can build my own computer...finally lol

Alienware is using Sager notebooks for their laptop line. You can get exactly the same notebook, with the same configuration and without the annoying alien head on the cover for 1000$ less…. but if you want quality you better don’t buy a Sager (or Alienware) computer...

Hmm, Intel already hast a 64bit CPU - the Itanium and what exactly do mean with ‘raw power’ the Opteron is with half the clock speed faster then the P4 ?!

Umm.......okay no, sorry to disagree with you, but the benchmarks do too....alienware's are wonderful quality systems, and the alien i think is cool... : P

yeah i know that intel already has a 64 bit processor but it's not for your home desktop...and i don't agree with you on the opteron bit

lol, don't seem to be agreeing today do we? oh well, different experiences in life give us different views on things

Speed has not necessary something to do with quality and Sager is not very famous for producing ‘high quality’ notebooks (so is Alienware). You really want to pay $1000 extra, just for the 'cool' alien head ?

The CPU thing- well it's not my opinion, it's a fact

according to their sorces: http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/cpu/display/20031031023041.html the p4 ee will retail around $1000 when it first comes out, right now the opteron is around 800, so we give the p4 ee a while to settle in and it too will lower in price i presume and the will be about equal, so hmm, i guess it all depends how much intel lowers their price, oh and how much you can overclock the p4 ee compared to the opteron ;) i know that a p4, regular, 800 mhz fsb was overclocked to 3.53 at maximum pc and it was stable...

also interesting bit in that article, it seems that the p4 EE was almost neck and neck with the opteron, not quite, but almost there, hmm...do you know how much the p4 ee is going to be selling for?

umm...no i highly believe you are extremely mistaken, alienware IS known for their high quality products, in the top desktops of the month and year many a time for many a magazine

as for the opteron, sorry i misworded that, what i meant to say was that despite the speed differnce i still like the p4's with 800mhz fsb better bc i like the price better than the opteron and i trust intel, but mainly the price part lol
