How to Identify Your Components

I reformatted my inspiron 6000 that I got from complete care (this computer is not listed in 'my account'). I am trying to install the drivers but I do not have the list of exact components that is in this 6000. I tried finding the right drivers when I went to the dell website by putting in the service tag but it just gave me like 15 different choices when I selected a network device.

How do I get a list of all the exact components in my laptop? Is there anyway I can do this with the windows XP installed?

Try putting your service tag into the link below you should be able to view your original hardware configuration by clicking on the appropriate tab.

You can also use other programs to scan your system to identify what you have.  More information is HERE.

The components should also be listed in the invoice you received with the system.

It will also be included in the packing slip that was included when you got the computer.

I have been searching all over my apartment for my invoice or packing slip from when I received my computer (more than 2 years ago) and I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know if there is a way to receive a copy of this list from Dell? My service warranty has expired so I do not know how to get through to customer service. thank you very much if you know.
