here some more ideas:

> Less likely but possible:Did you by any chance use a keyboard remapping software like "autohotkey" ?

> boot into safe mode - still same problem ?

> press "F2" at power up to enter the BIOS - in the time/date section you can use the left and right keys - see if it works

  properly (this is a windows independent "test" or if you want it to be a bit more sophisticated:

> use Dell Diagnostics - this tools lets you individually check each single key via graphical interface

  press "F12" at power up - select  Diagnostics - select custom - select keyboard => this works only when you still have the original Dell hard drive configuration otherwise you have to boot from the Dell's Driver and Utility disc which can also be downloaded in case you don't have it.

If system is in warranty then you should replace the keyboard otherwise try resetting keyboard. Sometimes keyboard service also works to resolve these type of issues :)
