IDT High Definition Audio Codec. This device cannot start. (code 10)
Please help. I can't get any audio on my Inspirion 1525 after reinstalling Windows XP. Tried everything. Updated driver. Nothing works. Thanks!

Which service pack?
Did you install the drivers in the order listed below?
a. Dell Notebook System Software (on your downloads page expand the System Utilities category). Restart.
b. Next install the Intel Mobile Chipset driver (expand the Chipset category). Restart.
c. Install the Sigmatel audio driver (expand the Audio category).

I don't know why you are getting an IDT error message. Your audio system is Sigmatel.

Thanks for your help. I followed your instructions exactly as you laid them out. It worked! I know have sound on my system. I really appreciate your help. You saved me a ton of time!
