insperion 8600 processor not working
I have a insperion 8600, from which the processor doesn't work anymore.
If aI try to update or to reinstall the driver a get an error message ; service already in use, can not install the driver.
Restore doesn' work either.
Any suggestion?

If the system is running Windows, the CPU is fine. What driver are you trying to update?

The sysytem is running under windows XP pro.
I tried to update under processors; Intel (R) Pentium (R) M processor 1.70 GHz, the driver, but not possible.
Also the network Broadcom 440 x 10/100 Integrated controller is switched of by the system.
The laptop is very slow.

can you get into windows xp? if you are , the cpu is running fine...if your cpu was not working , your computer would not start

but anyway, no driver is installed, or correct working, for the processor.
if i try to update I get these error message.
