How did you resolve the "dark" screen? Mine is unaffected by power supply. The screen comes on temporarily accompianied by a high pitch sound and then goes dark (windows displays very faintly). CPU operates normally (external monitor).

have you resolved this issue? I have the same exact problem, same system...

 

problem is only when running on the power supply cord....

 

also, my screen, when NOT on the power supply, makes a hissing sound if the LCD brightness is turned all the way up. If I plug in the power supply, noise goes away, vice versa...

 

Dell is sending me a new power supply they think thats the issues,they said if that doesnt work

 

they will replace my monitor....

 

but would rather not, have you found and fixed the problem???
