Inspiron 6400 (E1505) screen problem (blocks missing or misplaced)

My Inspiron was doing great, until yesterday. Without any reason it started to show strange pixel which seemed to be out of place. Also when I play video it shows al kind of white, black and grey blocks. I ran a virusscan and reinstalled the videodrivers but with no effect.

I made some pictures:

Also I made a screencapture which shows that it's not a screenproblem (then the capture would show no errors):

I think there is a hardwareproblem with my graphics controller. Does anyone recognize this problem?

Attach an external monitor.  If the fault shows there, it's a video chip/card problem.  If not, it's a display problem.

That's a video chip or card problem.  If you have Intel integrated video, you will need a new system board.  Otherwise, you'll need a new video card.

It's a laptop so I think it's al integrated. I will contact Dell tomorrow, I'm afraid I'll have to miss my computer for a few weeks (? I don't know how much time it takes Dell to fix it). :smileymad:

Thank you for your help!

I called Dell: they are going to replace the motherboard (on site!). That should do :smileyhappy:
