Inspiron 6400...Hinge problem

Question

There is an issue with the right hinge...I think its loose, cuz the white plastic border is seperating from the silver casing and because of that when I close the lid...the screen wont power off. I tried to open the Hinge and so on...I saw the little nob that the lid is suppose to push on to when the lid is closed so the screen turns off and they are not coming in contact now when i close the lid. PLease help, because I have to either power off, hibernate, or stand by the computer everytime I get off or the screen stays on. Thank u in advance.

Assuming you mean the frame of the LCD panel, you'll need to replace that.

If you're under warranty, call Dell.

If not, some sources for the parts (any shop can replace the parts if you don't want to tackle it:
