Inspiron 9300 Display Problems

Question

The screen display on my 9300, only has half the screen working. The left half is normal, but the right half starts off as blank, and after a few minutes it turns into a vertical lines of different colors. Any help is diagnosing this problem is appreciated.

Plug in an external monitor. If it displays the same fault, you likley have a video card failure. If it doesn't, reseat the cable that runs between the mainboard and display panel - if that doesn't work, the panel itself is faulty.

Please call Dell and they will replace the screen for you . Free of cost , even if the system is out of contract as they have identified the issue as a manufacturing defect with some screens . Dell has also sent letters to some customers who are facing this issue
