Inspiron E1505 Battery
I have a Inspiron E1505 and I've had it for 2 years as of May, and my battery only holds a charge for about 30-45 minutes. I don't know what to do, I can't just leave it plugged in all the time, and I can't afford $150 to buy a new battery, the computer was expensive enough and the price for a new battery is just ridiculous. Can anybody help me? Are batteries covered under the Dell warranty?

LIke your printer's toner cartridge, or your car's brake pads or tires, the battery is a consumable - it will not last the life of the system. Two years is reasonable for a lithium ion battery - they do age with use and time.
The warranty on all systems, Dell and othewise, covers the battery for the first year - even if your system has a longer warranty.

I had to replace my battery recently. Dell UK were selling the battery for £117.05 for a 9 cell and £107.05 for a 6 cell. Way to extortonate.
I bought a genuine 9 cell battery from the ebay seller batterytop for £343 and it seems to be checking out okay. (Note first thing I did was go to the dell battery recall site to check the serial code and it checked out okay - i.e. is not one of the recalled batteries)
He is selling a 9 cell for approximately $70: http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/batterytop?_nkw=e1505&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3911.m270.l1313&_odkw=&_osacat=0

I have an Inspiron E1505 as well. I had the old original battery that was near dead. I bought a new 9 cell replacement battery. It only will charge to 48% max. Fromm the Dell support site the lights on the battery seem to show it is charge to 60%. Sure wish my battery would charge to 100%. Any help would be appreciated.
