inspiron e1550 hd problems? something else?.

about a month ago my computer seems to have died. i was online for hours with tech support and i had sent it back to see if the wireless card was bad but it seems that it was just my connection. but now i still cant connect wirelessly and i decided to just go ahead what they guy told me and restore the entire computer after i had the battery changed and the wireless card looked at.

 

i loaded SBC DSL's cd to see since if i cant have wireless at least have SOME KIND of internet signal which worked and after it downloaded the software and the update from my virus protector the computer's desktop screen just fades away and now is totally gone and im left with a plain blue screen and i have to CTRL ALT DEL to turn it off.

 

does anyone have any ideas on what this problem is or something to its effect?
