Installing mSATA on 7520
Hi everyone!
So I'm happy to say that my new 7520 is coming this week and I am planning to install a 128 GB mSATA SSD on it as I was told it was possible by the retailer.
However, after reading the manual that is on dell.com it is not clear where the slot is located or how to replace (or install a new) mSATA SSD.
Thus I was wondering if there was a guide on how to install/replace the mSATA SSD or whether I should just wait for the computer to arrive and look for it in the manual?
I think I saw what was supposed to be a video guide in some other site but the video was inaccessible at the time I was there.
I know I could "go in blind" and just dig around, but I'd prefer not to do that as I am sure having a guide/manual reduces the chance of damage (and of course speeds things up!)

There are no manuals in the boxes anymore. Everything is online now. You can look at it now at Dell Support. support.dell.com/.../index.htm
According to the specs, the m sata port supports only up to 32gb.
One word of advice--do not do anything to your new computer right away or you could void the warranty. Run it for a couple of weeks to make sure it runs fine. Opening up a laptop and digging around is not a good idea. That could void the warranty too.

The card is detailed on p. 75 of the manual -- however, others have reported that the daughtercard needed for an mSATA drive is not included unless you order the system with the mSATA card.

The thing is, I was planning on having the OS and such on the SSD. Thus installing an OS to the HDD only to later have to reinstall it to the SSD (the computer is originally without an OS, or maybe with Ubuntu which intend to replace anyway) seems like unnecessary hassle. Installing the SSD straight away seems to make sense.
As for the port supporting up to 32GB I'm pretty sure that it is not the case as I've read that people have done what I am planning to do, but they haven't provided guides on how to do it.
As for there being a slot in the first place, I double checked with the retailer to make sure it had the port and I was assured that it did.
Perhaps for the sake of this thread, let's just assume that:
1. There is an mSATA port
2. It supports more than 32GB
3. Fiddling inside isn't a problem and I'll do it anyway just to see what's inside and how it's put together.
.. the focus being on how to install the mSATA drive as it would make the job easier and faster.

I can sadly confirm that there was no mSATA port on the daughter board. Damnit!
