Installing Software

I cannot believe that I can't figure this out but I bought a new laptop (with Windows7)  for my daughter for Christmas today and, for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to install the extra software that came with it. The software disk has many things on it (e.g,:  Adobe Photoshop; Scrabble, etc.).    Everytime I insert the dvd it brings up the dish (Roxie Burner) and the only thing I can see is to click on "Copy" which I did (a few times) and it never worked.  OMG!!!!  I can't believe I am this dumb!!!  Can anyone walk me through this download?  Thank you, very much.

What model computer? All Dell computers have all the software already installed. The disks are only for reinstalling when you install a new hard drive or need to reinstall everything.

My computer is an Inspiron laptop with Windows7.  The software is "Platinum Software Suite Deluxe 2010" which has Adobe Photoshop; Hallmark Scrapbook ...; H&R Block...; Scrabble...;  . Usually all you do is insert the disk in the drive and follow promps but no promps just Roxie? Burn symbol comes up.  Totally confused.
