Intel Graphics and Nvidia Graphics Switch
I have an Inspiron 17 5749 with an Intel graphics controller and an Nvidia graphics controller. How do I switch between the two? I would like to have the Nvidia graphics controller used all the time instead of the Intel graphics controller.

Use the Optimus control panel -- but note that there's no way to force the nVidia GPU to run alone. It's not a true discrete GPU -- it's a coprocessor. Only the Intel GPU has a physical connection to the screen -- so though you can choose the nVidia, it runs through the Intel at all times.
