Internet 9 Issues

I have a M1330 that I have recently downloaded/installed IE9.

Although I have adjusted all of the 'settings' IE9 blocks most everything it doesn't like.

IE9 doesn't show up on the list for me to UNISTALL, so it won't let me uninstall and install IE8.

It won't let me run/install IE8 - message is "i already have a later version".

HELP, what can I do?

This is not a Dell hardware issue .

XP SP3 will not allow unistall of IE8 or IE9
