keyboard cable latch broken
my keyboard latch is broken off. The latch that locks keyboard cable with motherboard. Half of the black latch that locks keyboard to motherboard port got broke. Keyboard still works.
Just few queries, does this turn off my warranty, also can i have a replacement sent. Dell if contacted would have to replace the whole motherboard, that too if not covered in warranty have to pay a hefty sum. Is someone having a replacement latch with you, i am willing to pay ?

It's unlikely they'll replace the board under warranty unless you have a complete care insurance package - otherwise, Dell is correct - the board will need to be replaced, and the cost will be in the $400-500 range.

Please clear your reply. does this come under POW ?
I dont think its ethical to pay $500+ for just 1 1/2 inch plastic which can be easily replaced.
I dint understand your statement either, is it covered under POW ?
