KVM D/APR problem

I have a Latitude D600 with a D/APR. I am trying to use an IOGEAR USB KVM switch. It works fine

if I connect directly to the laptop. But the USB keyboard will not work when the KVM is connected thru

the APR. I have tried several fixes. Deleting USB settings and having Win 2000 re-detect with no help.

Was this issue ever resolved? I'm having the same problem with the D/APR and a new D800 with the same IOGEAR USB KVM Switch. Is there a firmware upgrade for the D/APR? If not, is there going to be one? Thanks for your help.

No. I never got a solution from Dell. I downloaded a patch from Dell and it did not help. I do not think they are going to solve it. There is a sticky post at the top of this topic that says they are working on it. Well it has been almost 6 months. The only thing that I think might work is to get a right angle USB adapter to connect the USB cable from the KVM directly into the laptop while it is in the port replicater. I saw a post somewhere where they said that works. The only think is where do I get such a device.
