l key changes screen

could you elaborate a little more?

When I press the l key it changes the screen view. I removes the task bar at the bottom and removes all of the task bars at the top except the task bar with the buttons. When I press the l key again it reverts to the original view. Also when I press the shift+o key it paste from the clipboard. ???

Try the F11 key and tell us if it does the same as the "1 key".

Yes. When I press the F11 key the screen changes just like pressing the "l" key. Also When I press Shift + O it paste from the clip board. ???

The F11 key is supposed to work the way it is working on your machine. It gives you more space.

Just to be clear, you are referring to the "number one" key that is giving you the problem, right?

Go to
Start>Control Panel>Keyboard>Access Direct Tab, click "Use Defaults" button.

It is the lower case L key that is causing my problem, it changes my screen view to remove my task bars, also the shift + o (lower case O as when I am I am using the shift key to make the lower case O an upper case). I will not be able to attempt any fixes until Monday. I am away from that machine until then. Thanks.
