My suggestion, going back into system properties but instead of clicking create system restore. I agree the first floor, you can try again. search carefully, you may find some mistakes. If it doesn't work, you can try another way to make your files restore.

you can browse some data softwares. but many of them demand pay. there are some free data recovery softwares.

Did not work,  I'll see if I have the recovery CD  nothing seems to be able to run.

Fortunately I have my data backed up.  Its the operating system I have a problem with.  The system won't book or restore from disk.  I need to find the recovery disk.  Or I might just buy win 8.  Never had any problem like this.

found recovery disk, loaded, up and running.  There are 2 windows 7 out there.  I did the format, but working.:emotion-21:

I also have the similar problem. some of my friends say maybe  it has worked long time, so it should have a break. Calm down, just keep a deep breath.
