Laptop Error Code 2000-0233
My Dell Studio 1558 has been generating this error since it was new. I've been through at least 3 versions of the BIOS by now each claiming to fix the problem (R281622, R284826, R301434). I'm still getting the error and now that my warranty has expired, nobody wants to talk to me. (I guess I've been too patient with Dell!)
Has anyone else had this problem or found a solution?

This is a bad realtime clock chip - the mainboard needs to be replaced (or you will need a shop that can solder in a new clock chip - that option is $100-150; the other one will be well over $300).
