Laptop Key Replacement?
Hi All,
I'm a newby here but wondered if anyone could help, I work in a Primary School and we always have DELL PC's and Laptops for our Admin/Office as they are purchased through our Capita IT suppliers. Our new Headteacher came in September and we gave her the old Heads Latitude E5500 laptop which was never used and only 5/6 months old. In January the CAPS LOCK key broke and I have it here it looks like a corner split. Can I get a replacement??? Five months on and they are saying we don't replace single keys it might have to be the whole keyboard!!! I have had other companies just post me a key free of charge in the past. Is there some way I can get a replacement? Would really appreciate any input.
Regards
Gill

If the system is under warranty, call Dell - they will replace the keyboard. if it's out of warranty, you can either buy a keyboard from dell, or order the keys from EBay, etc., - Dell does not sell individual keys.

Thanks EJN63
They reckon it's chargeable so will look for an alternative and try Ebay.
