Dell does not support Windows 8 Operating system on this system. However you may install Windows 8 and check. The system will work with the basic drivers. I suspect if all the advanced features would work.
I have had nothing but Dell computers since 1995. I just purchased the 8500 desktop. I am kind of disappointed that Dell does consider the studio XPS which is only 2-1/2 and including all studio's worthless. My XPS 720 Win XP is 6 years old and still going strong. I am worried that the studio 1749 won't last very long.
