Laptop Shock !

Hi,

I usually get shock ( AC Current Shock ) via my laptop through iron nails below or any ports ( esp video out ).

I think the problem is the grounding and so current is leaking.

Wanted to know if this will have adverse effect on my laptop in long run ?

Thanks

Shubham

Hi Shubham,

Are you no afraid to use this PC? How strong this shock is?

It will have no effect on your PC (if it used as standalone PC) but just imagine what will happend if you will touch the video connector by one hand and something grounded by second hand!

During connection of units with external power and grounding wire (like display or printer) to your PC they and your PCs ports can be damaged also.

Regards,

Yuri

Thanks Yuri :)

The shock is of high magnitude but not fatal. I live in a rented apartment and so no changes can be made reg grounding :(
