Latitude D830 battery won't charge
I have a Latitude D830. I recently purchased a new battery because the original battery wasn't charging. The battery instructions said to drain the battery down, then recharge by plugging in to AC power while the computer is turned off. I've done that, but the battery is still completely dead (0% charge). I've been looking for a solution and found that maybe I should update the BIOS driver. However, when I try to run the update, I get a message that I must have at least 10% battery life in order to do so. Does anyone have any suggestions?

read the information posted by DELL-Terry B

and afterwards you might want to watch the video
BTW - In your case I don't think that a BIOS update will fix the problem
