Latitude E6500 Webcam
I just received my Latitude E6500 with Vista Ultimate. The only webcam software I can find on the machine is the Dell Webcam Central. This allows setting varous options (face tracking, pan & zoom, etc.). I can't find anything that activates the camera and allows recording. Is there some specific software I'm supposed to install?

No, I ran into this with my E6400. If you try to install the Dell Webcam Manager software (found for other laptops on the Dell site) it doesn't recognize the webcam.
The webcam does work though. I have used it with Skype and with Yahoo MSGR. Try to find some shareware/freeware program on download.com to see if you can use it to record video for you; perhaps someone on here can offer some suggestions.

You were absolutely right. I downloaded and tried the Dell Webcam Center and it didn't work. I then tried MS Live Messenger and it activated the camera.
Thanks for the advice.
