Latitude E6530 BIOS Version A07

Just purchased a Latitude E6530 for our organization, laptop is running BIOS v.A07 (latest as of this post).  Splash screen looks a little different, but otherwise nothing I can't live without.

However, we use a dos based Asset Tag Utility that gives us the ability to edit the Asset Tag and Ownership Tag fields in BIOS.  On other Dell hardware whatever I enter in the ownership field then shows up on the BIOS splash screen, in white text and centered above the Dell logo.  However in this BIOS release that all changed.  Now beneath the Dell logo on the spash screen, in small red type I see the following: "This computer is the property of Hempfield SD Products".  If I enter the BIOS setup screen the only thing entered into the Ownership Tag field is Hempfield SD.  Why put that other text before and after?

Please change it back to the way it used to be or somehow give us the option to choose whether or not we want to display that?  "This computer is the property of" I can live with, but "Products" after the owner field?  I don't get that.

I've already tried going through Dell Public and Large Enterprise Phone Support but the guy I talked to said this text was hard coded into the motherboard and couldn't be changed with a BIOS update.  I don't really buy that so I'm reaching out to here hoping that someone can shed some more light on this and hopefully escalate to an engineer that can make a change in the next BIOS version.

Ryan
