The brand wont matter as long as it is the same resolution. ( there was 2 different resolutions in the 15 inch ) There are no drivers, the driver is for the video card. You can also look at a Latitude C810 as a source of a screen.
This is all good.
I know that I already have the most current video board driver as that was part of the troubleshooting process.
Does anyone have recommendations for where to have the LCD repaired?
My LCD is in fine condition (other than not working:). So yes, I'd be interested in checking outm that option.
Thank You

Most LCD faults can be repaired for $150 or less - without the risk of incompatibility and unknown history of a used panel from EBay.
