LCD Problem on my 1210

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3656/3595005476_4a3d0ee5b9.jpg?v=0

picture above, there is a foreign particle, or lcd leaking, that covers full or part of 8 pixels, i dun think it is a dead pixel problem becoz its shape is irregular.

i called dell customer service and they directed me to technical support, they insisted it was a problem of dead pixel and they were trying to deny my warranty claim without even looking at it.

what could that be? it seems dell doesnt want to cover that, and i cannot open the lcd to kind of clean it, any suggestion?

thanks.

One way or the other, it looks like the panel is damaged and will need to be replaced.  It looks like the panel might have been hit with a sharp object that didn't crack the glass but did damage the LCD - if so, that would only be covered by Complete Care insurance, not your standard warranty.
